The owners of this modern house were keen to bring personality and a more tailored , stylish feel to their new home. Beginning with renovating the kitchen we moved away from the original floorplan creating a more sociable layout. We added a peninsula and the design encourages a natural flow to the French doors and garden.
Although the owner is a book enthusiast, it was important to her that the shelves weren’t cluttered and dominating the room, so we created a bespoke banquette with shelves discreetly positioned with a striking, shaker style ‘book end’ design.
Working together, the owner’s love of colour meant we could bring a playfulness to the living room, leaning towards a more retro feel with comfortable Ercol furnishings and light diffusing blinds to create a relaxing space.
With a keen interest in beautiful finishes and artisan craftsmanship, we sourced a Japanese style soak tub for the bathroom, clad in stone, creating a beautiful luxury soaking experience.
Colourful and textural tiles with the shower framework bringing strong linear definition turns a petite ensuite into a vibrant wake-up call first thing in the morning!
Sue created something of beauty and function. We would never have chosen such a gorgeous colour palette or been able to source such ethical craftsmanship and local tradesmen, thank you Sue, always a joy and an inspiration.”
